We’re hiring! We’re on the look out for more tutors…..
This is a nationally recognised, certificated qualification that meets the government requirements for managers in housing services.
THERE ARE SIX UNITS TO BE COMPLETED
▲Housing law and regulation
▲Housing policy
▲Customer focus in housing
▲Managing people, teams and change
▲Resident involvement in housing
▲Professionalism in housing
EACH UNIT HAS:
▲Two live webinar workshops with the tutor, lasting
three hours each
▲One two-hour group tutorial via webinar
▲One 30-minute individual telephone tutorial with
the tutor
So that’s a total classroom time of 8.5 taught hours
for each unit. In addition, there’s an eLearning induction during the week before the course starts.
The CIH requires the guided learning hours to be 90 hours and the total qualification time is 360 hours.
Overall, the course takes about 18 months.
It is a requirement of the course that you attend all the webinars – we set the dates for the whole
programme in advance so that you can plan your holidays, other training, etc around them.
OUR UNIQUE DELIVERY METHOD
▲Participation is via webinars and you will have the unique opportunity to meet and learn with other students from across England.
▲You will need to use a laptop or PC. Using a tablet or mobile phone won’t be sufficient.
▲You will need good broadband/internet connection.
▲We use Zoom for our webinars as we believe it provides the best interaction facility for students and tutors.
▲You will need to be fairly confident in using Word, and you will need to make a PowerPoint presentation for one of the assignments, so you will need Microsoft Office or similar software on your device.
▲All assignment documents are submitted electronically.
RESOURCES
▲All our face to face teaching is delivered via live webinar classrooms with a knowledgeable and experienced tutor.
▲We provide unique downloadable workbooks for each unit.
▲We have a Learning Management System containing learning materials and links to other resources.
▲Students have access to an online library of technical information provided by a partner company that we work with.
▲You’ll do work-based tasks, set reading and assignments.
