Your staff need to be knowledgeable and ready to ensure your organisation is compliant.
This one-day course will ensure your call centre workers,
housing officers, and maintenance inspectors learn that it’s really not just about drying clothes on radiators, or boiling a pan with the lid off. They will consider the various causes of damp, learn how and why condensation occurs, and get insight into what mould is, how and why it grows, and the effect it has on people and buildings.
Your staff will learn about the legal and regulatory requirements and the expectations of the Ombudsman and have the opportunity to discuss the impact on your organisation. Our training will bring your staff up to date in order to offer the best possible service to your residents.
Our one-day course takes the learner through all the aspects of damp, condensation and mould, dispelling myths and teaching facts:
- Water in buildings
- Condensation and damp
- The problems damp and condensation can cause
- Mould and what causes it
- The effect of damp and mould on residents
- What the law and regulation requires of landlords
Our training is interactive, we check learners’ understanding
at regular intervals with activities, and short quizzes. We show
how problems are caused and signpost to the solutions.
This course is taught live via Zoom.
On completion of the course, learners can download a certificate.
